Heritage Walk (Summer 2026) - Fighting Over Land; tribal conflict in Iron Age Britain
£7
The Iron Age saw the emergence of competing territories and peoples and, with this, ongoing regional conflict. We shall explore how this played out in our area, and the dramatic consequences, while walking around the hill fort on the Trundle.
We will meet at 10.30am in the Trundle Car Park (marked on the picture above, just to the west of the fort).
The walk is short – less than a mile – but does involve some moderate inclines.
