For Schools & Community Groups

Workshops

We are developing a series of arts & heritage focused workshops which can be tailored to your group, primary or secondary.

Heritage Handling Boxes

We have three themed heritage handling boxes specifically for primary schools, to help them unlock local history and heritage for their students.  The themes of the boxes are: ‘Made in Havant’, ‘World War Two’ and ‘Railways’.  Within the boxes are items for the children to explore and handle as well as workshop and activity ideas for teachers.

Research Room

Is your group researching a local story, do you need help finding out more or need access to the local archive? Then our research room is just the place. Available for use for your research and history projects. Find out more here.

If you would like more information about the workshops, boxes and how to borrow them, or wish to work with us please contact info@thespring.co.uk.

Three children engaging with a museum exhibit, looking closely at a colourful, interactive display mounted on the wall. One child in a pink coat holds a book while observing intently, accompanied by another child in an orange jumper and a third child partially visible in a green jumper. The setting is bright and inviting, with additional posters visible in the background.
An elderly woman with white hair and glasses, wearing a bright red top, sits at a wooden table in a well-organised archive or library. She is engrossed in examining a large, open book with aged pages. Around her, there are various folders and documents, including a pink box filled with booklets and a large red binder labeled 'Archives'. Behind her, white shelves are filled with books, binders, and storage boxes.
