Your imagination and sense of wonder will flower at rising Malaysian pianist Julian Chan’s ‘Visions Virtuosic’ International Interview Concert:
Beethoven’s F# Sonata ‘For Thérèse’, legendary Alkan’s ‘Aesop’s Feast’ variations, Chopin’s tale-bearing Ballade No 2, Schubert’s defiant C minor Sonata, and Godowsky’s multi-coloured Java Suite, which Julian has recorded.
These pieces describe, paint and portray, but demand pianistic prowess you won’t believe you’re actually hearing and watching. At The Spring, everyone will be able to see the keyboard and listen to Julian’s inspiring conversations about himself and the music.
