Havant Light Opera presents “Humbug!” – Based on words from the original text and set to music from the Gilbert and Sullivan operas, and giving everybody a chance to join in singing traditional carols, this show has received rapturous reviews from the critics. Charlton’s witty and sophisticated lyrics fit with Sullivan’s music so well that it is really hard to believe that this music was not written expressly with “Humbug” in mind.
