Heritage Walk (Spring 2026) - The Georgian Era: Petersfield
£7
Join us for a Heritage Walk.
Discover the stories, places, and people that shaped our local area with our guided Heritage Walks. Each walk costs £7 and offers a gentle pace suitable for most participants.
Please note that while the routes are designed to be as easy-going as possible, we cannot guarantee full accessibility due to uneven surfaces, historic buildings, and changing terrain.
Additionally, because some sections of the walk include visits to venues that do not allow dogs, we’re unfortunately unable to welcome dogs on these walks (with the exception of registered assistance dogs).
Come along, explore, and enjoy a relaxed step into the past with us.
The death of Queen Anne in 1714 marked the end of the Stuart dynasty and of a turbulent period in British history. The Georgian period that followed saw the emergence of many familiar elements of our modern world. Our walk around central Petersfield will explore what the Georgians achieved – and left behind for us to see.
The walk will start at 10.30am by the statue of William III in The Square, Petersfield (GU32 3HJ). Walking will be on pavements and will be no longer than 1.5 miles.
