How did the Anglo-Saxons prepare for, and survive, winter? And how was mid-winter and, later, Christmas celebrated?

We explore these questions on a circular walk around the village of Chalton. This walk will include two short, but steep uphill sections. Tea and coffee will be provided at the end of the walk.

This walk will start and end at The Red Lion, Chalton, it will last around 1.5 to 2 hours. Open to all and requiring just a modicum of fitness. 

We ask that no dogs, apart from assistance dogs, are brought along on the walk please.
