Ellie Gowers has quickly become one of the most captivating voices in the UK folk scene. Hailed as “an all-singing, all-dancing folk polymath” (Jon Wilks, TradFolk), her debut album Dwelling by the Weir (2022) explored the folklore and stories of her Warwickshire roots, earning widespread acclaim and a place on the UK touring circuit.
Following her first performance at The Spring in Autumn 2023, Ellie returns this summer after a remarkable year. With her new EP, You, The Passenger, released in November 2024, she has already gained recognition from BBC Radio 2 (Mark Radcliffe), BBC 6 Music (Lauren Laverne), and a range of high-profile playlists.
Joining Ellie as support will be Mia Kelly, a Canadian singer songwriter who has been smashing a sold out run of double header shows with Blair Dunlop in the UK and Canada these past few weeks. Performing in both French and English, the 2X Canadian Folk Music Award winner enthrals listeners with a distinctive blend of Folk, Rock, and Blues, while swiftly gaining recognition for her rich, poetic lyricism.
