HumDrum present
The Canterbury TalesPlay One - Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Play Two - Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Covering all areas of storytelling, from morality stories to horror stories, from swashbuckling adventure to the 14th century equivalent of the Carry On film, Mike Poulton’s vibrant adaptation of The Canterbury Tales, specially commissioned by the Royal Shakespeare Company, shows exactly why Chaucer’s tales have remained popular for six hundred years. The Tales are presented over two evenings – but each play is complete in itself.
So come join Chaucer’s pilgrims as they travel from Southwark to Canterbury, entertaining themselves (and you!) as they go, with some of the most exciting, astonishing and downright rude stories ever written.
