Car Parking

The Spring is next to a Havant Borough Council pay and display car park. Parking is free after 6pm.

From 1 August 2014 Town End House, next to The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre, will be sold by Hampshire County Council to a local company. This sale will unfortunately affect current parking arrangements for visitors to The Spring.

Pay and Display Parking  The pay and display car park will remain as a public car park and is available to all visitors. The far end of the car park, which is currently not part of the pay and display area, will transfer to the new owners and will not be available for public use.

At busy times we recommend other local car parks including East Pallant Car Park and Prince George’s Street Car Park.

Disabled Parking  The sale of Town End House includes the disabled parking and loading bays at the top of the car park slope. Unfortunately visitors to The Spring will no longer be able to park in these bays. The Spring has never had any right over these spaces, but was lucky enough to work in partnership with the County Council, who let us use them as necessary.

Blue badge holders can use the pay and display car park at the bottom of the slope for free when displaying their badge. Cars displaying a blue badge can also be parked on double yellow lines in adjoining streets, for up to three hours. We would recommend doing so in the layby on Town Hall Road and on Beechworth Road.

Havant Borough Council, who manage parking in Havant, will be arranging for disabled bays to be marked in local roads in due course pending successful consultation and approval.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
