Guide Awards 2014: Winners of ‘Best Exhibition’

The Heritage team at The Spring were thrilled to bits upon hearing they had been nominated for ‘Best Exhibition’ at this years Guide Awards.

On Monday 20th January 2014, Kate Saunders, Education and Heritage Officer and Josephine Payter, Education and Heritage Assistant were very excited to attended the Awards Ceremony at The Kings Theatre, Southsea.

They joined numerous other nominees in the crowd in a buzz of anticipation as the runners up and winners were announced for each category.

As the presentor announced that the ‘Hayling Billy 50 exhibition’ had won the Best Exhibiton category, the team were overcome with delight and suprise! All the hard work, effort and passion for the Hayling Billy line had resulted in The Spring being awarded a very lovely trophie for all our efforts.

All at The Spring would like to give a big thank you to Peter Dury of the Hayling Billy 50 organisation for all the help and ideas which made the exhibition such a wonderful sucess, enjoyed by so many in our community.

We are absoloutely thrilled to now be the proud owners of the trophie and it sits in pride of place on the Education and Heritage Officers desk for all to see!
