A Real Amateur Artist

Jean Kathleen Clark
Local Collection 29 June to 27 Sept
Jean Clark became an Auxiliary Territorial Service
Officer soon after the war started in 1939 and spent
much of it under canvas serving in anti-aircraft units.
In the fifties Jean discovered a love of drawing and
painting. Well into her eighties, she continued to
sketch as part of a local art group and was also an
enthusiastic volunteer at The Spring. Sketch book
in hand she would constantly record moments with
a deft and delicate touch that reflect her great
enjoyment of both art and the world around her.
