Your chance to tell us your stories about the impact conflict and wars have had on your family and the local area.
Every battle we fight helps us to see who we truly are.
Over the next six months The Spring Arts & Heritage Centre will be working with Forest Forge Theatre Company to gather real stories about war and its impact on Havant Borough residents. The stories will be used to inform three new short plays that focus on the experiences of the people and communities of Hampshire during the First World War, Second World War and modern warfare.
The completed plays will tour venues across Hampshire and will be performed at The Spring in March 2014.
Join us for one of our workshops that are designed to get our community talking about their experiences and family history in relation to conflict and to start a conversation.
All workshops are free.
Help us gather the stories that really matter.

Family Drama Workshop
Family drama workshop led by Forest Forge Theatre Company
Families are invited to come along to a drama session with Forest Forge Theatre Company to explore and learn about the experiences of evacuees from World War II.
Many children were evacuated to the countryside of Hampshire, both from coastal areas along the south and bigger cities across the country. We’ll consider what it might have been like to leave your home, your family and everything that is familiar, but more importantly, we’ll explore the joys and surprises of being welcomed into a new home in a new community.
This engaging and dynamic workshop is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore our counties history in a way that is both eye-opening and heart-warming.
This is a workshop for children age 5+ and their families.
Please book your space in advance through the box office on 023 9247 2700.
